I was just looking at the cake mix recipes that are here on the site. the basic cake recipe has a number "6" With nothing near it. Is it there by mistake or is something missing???
unless its a huge sheet cake....but 9X 13 is kinda small...

I have no idea what the 6 means, however I do know about the recipe. I just happened to remember last weekend that I had recieved (months ago) a booke from Reders Digest called Homemade ~ How to make Hundreds of Everyday Products you would otherwise buy.
Well I was looking through it this week, so when I saw this recipe I recognized it. I will retype it in the MYO forum. Hopefully it will make more sense. The subject will be MYO Basic Cake Mix.

I still don't see an answer to this question.
I have printed the recipe and searched the site but no reprint of this recipe is available and no correction was made.
Any ideas on how much cake mix to use for a cake?
I am going to try 2 C. but who knows.
