Aleve is selling a bottle at buy one give one as a gift. I havent tried Aleve yet - wondering if this is a good deal?

Aleve is wonderful at making pains go away. I usually buy the store brand (naproxien sodium). Just watch what other medicine you are taking as it is classified as a NASID and can interfer.

I am used to taking motrin, I just thought that the name "sodium" would mean alot of salt... yeah no??

Yes I do believe that they have a lot of salt. I have seen warnings on medicine to watch taking something-like high blood pressure medicine if you are taking the aleve type medicine. If in doubt call your doctor's office first to see if it is safe for you to use.

I dont have a high blood pressure problem but my hubby does, and he takes med's for it too so I watch the sodium intake for everyone in the home, I even fry/cook my hamburger in water (I add alot of seasoning) so that it takes away alot of fat.  I might get the Aleve for my friend, she takes it religiously. Thanks!!

The Sodium naproxen in Aleve and the Sodium Chloride like we are warned about for blood pressure are two entirely different things! Most all medications, prescription and OTC, now warn you about just about everything so they can cover their assets, KWIM?? As a PP stated, it is an NSAID~non steroidal anti inflammatory drug. DH takes it all the time. I can't take it because I have stomach issues, but it works well......HTH!!
