I guess i am a newbie. What is all the points about? How do you earn points? Where would I find out about them?

I find this site rather hard to navigate as I have just started.

I am a retired man living in Arizona where the winters are nicve and summers are for staying indoors.

I have a wife, two grown kids, 5 grandkids a turtle that somehow ended up in my family room in a large glass cage and two cats , puss one nervous Chihuahhua who is prejedice against Mexicans who walk by. The cats are outdoor cats.
