MYO: Wallpaper Cleaner (1909 Presidential Cookbook)
Categories: Mixes, Nonfood, Cleaner
Yield: 1 servings

1 c (heaping) flour
1 tb Kerosene
2 tb Ammonia
1/2 c Warm water

---------------------------------CLEANER #2---------------------------------
1 Sal Ammoniac
4 Parts rye flour
Water

---------------------------------CLEANER #3---------------------------------
1 tb Salt
1 tb Kerosene
2 tb Vinegar
2 tb Ammonia
1/2 c Warm water
1/2 c Flour

Mix above and boil til flour is thoroughly scalded stirring constantly.
Then knead w/ hands and it is ready for use. Use as if it were an eraser.
CLEANER #2 Add enough water to the rye flour and ammoniac that it will form
a dough, then use on soiled parts as if the mixture was a sponge. Turn
soiled part of dough into itself and work out a clean part of the mixture.
Never continue to rub the soiled surface of the cleaner into the wall.
CLEANER #3 Cook while stirring. Knead into a smooth dough. Use pieces as
though it were an eraser to clean wallpaper. SOURCE:Handwritten notes glued
into the Presidential Cookbook of 1909.
