Re: Do you get tons of Free Mags because of Budget101?
We have a "library" at the development where I live and it's great. We have hard cover books, paperback books, magazines, puzzles and games that are all donated by residents. It's a honor system and works great in the 5 years I've been here. We have a retired librarian who volunteers her time to keep things in order when they get messed up.

That is a great idea, wish I lived in a complex that was big enough to do something like that (only 6 apartments ~ not much variety). I have been hearing alot news/articals because of the economy that people shoul/could have community/neighborhood outdoor/hand tools. Why buy your own when you will only use it 10% of the time, share with your neighbors (or even rent it out for a small charge).

I save the magazine and every few months or so break them out and have a vision board session with friends and others who could use one. If you have seen the movie "The Secret" then you know the concept. Basically look thru mags and cut out words and pictures of things you envision having in your life. When you look at this board you think of those things and how are you going to acquire them in your subconsciousness. Go ahead and do yourself a favor and watch the movie.

I give a lot of my magazines to friends with small children. Once they are old enough for supervised scissor-time, they can make all sorts of themed artwork.
My son liked to make collages with the cut outs - one whole page filled with every boat picture that he could find.

I beg them for swap my self. I rather trade what I have and get somthing new than have 6 subscriptions. Everytime I get a freebee they bill me befor I even get the freebee. I find it to be a real turn off. Course ill tell you I really do love "Real Simple" and scrapbooking mags. I am currently interested in marry janes farm. looks like it may be intresting. Our library keeps lots of magizine tittles. I keep thinking i need to go have a good look and see whats usefull to me. I have a box full of old mags now but no time to drop off. Its a wonderfull idea though!!
