Default Indonesian Marinade

Indonesian Marinade
2 lb steak -- any cut will do, my favorite cheap cut is the chuck steak
1 garlic clove
1 small onion, quartered
2 tbs each water and vegetable oil
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
6 tbs soy sauce
2 tbs sugar
2 tbs lemon juice
1/4 tsp pepper
In food processor, combine garlic, onion, water and oil until smooth. pour mixture into medium saucepan. Cook at medium heat 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Whisk in red pepper flakes, soy sauce, sugar, lemon juice and pepper. Pour over steaks and coat all sides. Place in covered container. Refrigerate overnight. 4 servings = about 25 calories.
