Christmas project for Tiger Cubs

My husband is the Den Leader (okay in name only, I do all the behind the scene work and he gets the wonderful credit 
-I don't mind though) for my youngests Tiger Cub group. I was trying to come up with something fun to do for December to keep the boys interest and came up with what I thought was a great idea to reinforce the true spirit of a scout. I was thinking that the boys should donate $5 each (there are 10 boys in the group) and we try to grab one boy and one girl name from the local "angel tree"-tree with names and wish lists for children in need. With the money then I would go shop for items take to a meeting and have all of the boys together wrap the items, make a few craft items and cards to include in the gift.
