Jr. Black Belt

I am just so very excited today and have to share that one of boys earned his Jr. Black Belt in TaeKwonDo last night!
I know taking classes for nearly three years and testing fees and uniforms and gear might not be exactly a frugal step but the health and safety of my boys is very important to me. I feel so much safer and confident in allowing him to do more things. Not that he has a nasty bone in his body but I really do pity the person who tries to bully him.
The amazing thing is the personal growth, the confidence he has developed from being in class. This was a child who would trip over air-now he flies through the air. I am not a big fan of sports. I do feel that some sports are too competitive and biased towards children. I do really like martial arts because it is an indiviudal sport and the only person the child is competing against is themselves.
Thank you for listening to a proud mother boast up her baby
