On strike

Have you ever had one of those days that it just does not matter what you do no one will cooperate? Well just had a weekend full of that. I went on strike at home. Just to fill you in a little-I am the mom-three boys ages 12, 9, and 6. Have an onlder boy (19-but does not live at home) plus a husband and a cat. I spent about three hours cleaning the house and feeling so great about it-really saved a lot of money using suggestions from the budget101.com site. That is until I made the mistake of taking a break and enjoying a little outdoor summer weather-just happened to be lunch time and the boys fixed their lunch. I did enjoy the time outside for about 30 minutes. However, when I did go back inside the house you would have swore an F5 tornado hit. Everything I had spent the morning working on was totally and I do mean totally undone. So I went on strike. When I go on strike-has only happend maybe two times, I do not do laundry, I do not cook, I do not clean, I do not talk, I do not take anyone anywhere, I do not answer the phone-actually I unplug the phone. Guess it has finally sunk in this time-my house is clean, the laundry is done-I did not do it. Food in the fridge-I did not have to cook and no take out, I did plug the phone back in-could do a little longer without that though. I am some in awe of my boys that they do seem to realize some of what life would be like without me at home.
Until next time. . .
Until next time. . .
