No time, but happy all the same

Well I have survived one full week of work and school for the kids plus the other twenty million places to run to in between everything else.
I can not complain even though I seem to have every second of the day filled. I work 8-5 (usually head out at 7:30) grab the boys and home around 5:15, quickly heat up dinner. I learned that I would have to spend the weekend making the dinners for the week and heating them up for each person so we can actually have food before running. Usually by 5:45 we are running back out the door to one activity or two or three, finally around 8:30 we are heading home and can run the kids through the shower and snacks while we try to get homework finished up. Laundry is a twice a day task now, in the morning toss a load in the washer, evening toss a load in the dryer, next morning fold and start again. It is working though we have managed to still have clean clothes to wear this way. I would be so lost without my dishwasher! It is great to start it and then go to bed, unload in the morning.
Last week and this week there have been the wonderful back to school parent meetings that we have had to try to cram into the already over booked schedule. But happily I can say that I have made it to each one.
The job is going really well. I finally feel like I have found my spot. I feel wanted and I am treated like a person and encouraged to be creative and offer my suggestions. What is nice is that there are days that when I finally think to look at the clock it is well into the afternoon and about time to pack up to go home for the day. I have even managed to forget to eat lunch!!!! I know not a healthy thing to do but I am working on it.
I try to get on here in the morning, at least once during the day and again in the evening. I sure am not posting like I had been. Somedays though it just isn't possible, but boy the second I go to the mailbox I notice that the items are not flowing in and then I start having withdrawl symptoms and can't wait to get on to see what I can send off for.

I certainly know the feelings you are having, with a new job. And even tho my boys are grown -- I'm glad that part of running is over -- parent meetings, ball practice weeee what days those were..And yes I have had the withdrawl from my mail too. But I have had the chance to say up on my couponing...Love CVS --- I'm well stocked on lotions, soaps and different items..

I have the same crazy schedule and I love every minute of it -and I alway think what will I do when I have no more kid things to go to -I think I will really miss it ,but hopefully I will have lots and lots of grandbabies to spoil. Hopefully in the far future, enjoy every second it goes quick. Bobbi

Glad it's all working for you! I know I use to run like that but sure couldn't do it any more. I admire those who can still do it!
