Blog to Say I Am Not Blogging Today

Posted 01-08-2009 at 07:18 PM by ShellVera777
Have to get baby ready for bed but wanted to stop by and say hello. Baby has been waking up the last week staying up. Went to ER this morning and they said it is just life. Called Dr. to verify and nurse said to feed her cereal with fruit right before bed. I will try that tonight and see what happens.

No big news in the finance world except that I am really enjoying cooking again! I love the money I am saving and how much fun I am having with my veggies and such. I have been having a lot of fun eating and yet don't come close to getting in my calories for the day because I am choosing foods that are very filling but have few calories!

Talk soon!

Babies just never do the expected or wished for thing!!! You can bet if you wanted her awake she would be asleep. Glad you are having so much fun in the kitchen

Babies are babies - who know what makes them not sleep , not the best thing about being a mom , but hopefully the baby will out grow waking up. I will say it happened to us all and we all lived though it. Try keeping your child awake a lot during the day . The cereal is a good trick. also try music or a ticking clock - this worked with my son - it was my mistake to let him sleep on me and when he woke I either rocked him or walked the floor with him. It's best to let your child fall asleep by theirselves. and when they wake up let them fuss for a bit - they may go back to sleep - if they are awake and happy leave them .I love to cook also - keeps you busy and well it made me put on some pounds .lol Bobbi -NE

Oh, yes I remember walking the floors and rocking mine. I was very tired at time, but now that I look back at it, it was worth it. I'm glad that I was patient with them. But it really is better to let them cry at times, it won't hurt them. That's what I had to do with mine sometimes. They always went back to sleep, and they learned the difference between day and night.

I know where you are coming from on the sleeping trouble. We went through more than our fair share with Gabriel when he had colic. I feel for you !!!
