I just wanted to thank all the members and guests that helped vote for my kitchen on the Better Homes & Gardens Kitchen Remodeling Contest.

I was in the Top 3 at the close of the contest last night (midnight). Apparently they choose a winner from the top 5 based on several different criteria.

Well, I was sitting (sort-of) here reading Kim's latest blog post (looking for the rainbow) and I'm thinking to myself, not only is the cup half empty, but the jerk that drank from it while I wasn't looking probably backwashed in it and left enough drool around the rim to give the entire family strep throat!

Fishhook Through the Nose, Not a Euphemism

Just when I think things couldn't get much more chaotic...

I had to run into town this morning to pick up a few of the kids friends. I was in a hurry so I grabbed the fishing poles from the back of my car and leaned them up against a tree in the front yard. I didn't want to chance leaving them in the car, less the kids in back start...
