Last chance at summer

I don't know about anyone else but I am having a hard time believing that summer is coming to an end and school is starting. My boys are getting a late start this year they will head back to the classroom on Wednesday August 27. Maybe I am having the hard time because June was a very cold month in South Dakota. The weather did not feel like summer until we managed to start July. Now just a few short weeks later summer is over and time to go to school. I do like it when they go to school-I don't fret quite as much wondering if they are safe and such. But I do really miss not being able to spend time with them. Along with school starting is all of the other activities starting-homework, scouts, homework, sports, homework, school meetings, did I happen to mention homework. They really don't have that much (yet) but doing it three times in a night can make for a bit of frustration.

I plan to take the weekend and do absolutely nothing-in a sense-but have a great time being with my boys. Maybe throw a tent up in the backyard, start a fire and fix smores, have to grill-wonder if I can talk the boys into doing the cooking. Hope all of you have an enjoyable weekend.
