Play Set

What a great weekend, even if I did spend the whole time painting. We had a new neighbor move in across the street. A quiet older gentleman who has pets but not children or grandchildren. The people who use to live in the house had one of those wooden gym play set in the backyard. Well I went a calling as a welcome wagon from across the street carrying cookies for the gentleman to enjoy. I did happen to also have my boys with me when I went visiting. Can you believe this wonderful soul of a man gave us the gym play set thing. Now I have looked at those at the stores and watched my children drool, but at close to a $1000 it just was not going to happen. After an hour of taking some of the set apart and moving it to my backyard and then reassembling I was able to begin painting-and the hardware store had a sale on outdoor paint. So for under $20 and a day of my time my boys are having so much fun playing with a fort. Think I will have to look at some of the information about gifts in a jar and make a little extra every few weeks to share with him
