I just joined the blog and I think it is a great place to find good ideas and connect with people. I love Budgeat 101. I recommend it to all my friends. I am temporaily off work and I'm using the time to make up a lot of mixes and myo frozen entrees. I have been going to yard sales and picking up canning jars there. If I'm not sure of them I will use them for my dry mixes. I found that a single pint jar of mixed beans is the exact amount to cook for my family. so I buy the beans mix them all together and put them in a jar.

    Well Hello Miss Pam, welcome to the blogs! It's great to have you here.

    Good luck on finding good deals on jars, I've been able to find quite a few that way over the years, and they really come in handy. It helps if you mention to other family members that if they come across a good deal, you wouldn't mind paying them for picking them up.

    Most are more than happy to help. I'm looking forward to reading more of your posts.

    Hi, everyone. I'm taking a break. I've been cruising around the library and found a great book called: Make -A- Mix Cookery. It is really great and I've been experimenting with some of the recipes. We have in WV a site called Freecycle, I don't know if everyone is familier with a site like this but here is how it works,..If you have something you want to get rid of that is still good or you want something then you post your ad. If someone needs what you have, or have what you want they reply and you make arrangements to meet. It is all local area and is a great way to get rid of stuff when you do that all important "spring cleaning" and don't want to or don't have time to have a yard sale. There was an ad for 200 canning jars that I replied to but I guess I wasn't the only one needing jars, He didn't get back to me. Oh, well! Have a great day.
