Hi! My name is Jaime. I live in Apache Junction, AZ. I am the most frugal person when it comes to shopping. I love to shop. I am ADHD so I am very impulsive which makes shopping challenging. About 8 years ago I started getting into collecting coupons. It has changed my world. I belong to a site that cross references recent coupons with the weekly sales ads and lets you know the price after coupons. There are certain times of year that certain types of things go on sale. Such as now is back to school. In the past few weeks the coupons have had many coupons to correspond with the sales at the stores. You wouldn't believe the deals I get. I will never spend more than $1 on cereal. A few weeks back I got 6 boxes of cereal and 2 gallons of milk for $3. Saving money on the little things helps me when it comes to the big things.
I am also a thrift store junky. I love to go to the thrift stores and look through everything. I know people find it hard to believe but you can find some awsome deals. I just went to Hawaii and when we found some down time we found thrift stores. It is actually my husbands and my favorite hobby. I find clothes with the tags still on all of the time. Finding great deals is a high.
I read an article last week in, Good Housekeeping, and a lady was talking anout how her and her family went a year without spending money. I really want to try this. It will be very tough. My friend Trisha and I are going to try it for the month of September. I have 3 kids and she has 10 (thats another topic another day.) Trisha and I started dieting in Mid-May. We have both lost about 30lbs.
